Energetic renovation of the Pension Insurance North Bavaria Bayreuth

According to the plans of the architectural office Seemüller, the existing south building of the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Nordbayern (German Pension Insurance North Bavaria) in Bayreuth was energetically renovated.

The entire existing façade cladding was replaced for the energy retrofit. The entire façade was insulated and the curtain walling was placed on the outside as a newly designed natural stone façade. The complete façade replacement was carried out during ongoing office operations, so that the work had to be carried out floor by floor without causing any noise disturbance. Three different regional materials were used for the building project, namely Mainsandstein weiß-grau, Postaer Sandstein and Leistädter Sandstein in horizontal alternation as a curtain-type, rear-ventilated façade. The plinth was made of Epprechtstein Granit. A total of approx. 2,500 m² of façade surface was executed with regional natural stone for this project.
