New Construction House E42, Coburg

Based on the plans by the architectural office EICHHORN + PARTNER ARCHITEKTEN, a new single-family house has been constructed in Coburg. The residential building is characterised by its location on a south-facing slope with a gradient of thirty percent, with the solitary character particularly emphasised by the monolithic natural stone façade.

For the construction project Mainsandstein, weiß-grau was used as a stone masonry with a parapet strip made of Steigerwald Quarzit. The individual masonry stones, laid in a regular bond, have a thickness of approximately 9 cm. The varying layer heights of approximately 8 to 25 centimetres are framed by continuous cornices.

In total, approx. 330 m² of façade was realised with regional natural stone as part of this project.
